Agave Mocha Freeze

Sara Vance, rebalance life

yield: 2

Sara says “keep that $$$ in your wallet - drive by the coffee shop and make your Agave Mocha Frappuchino at home. This recipe contains no sugar or high fructose corn syrup (uses agave nectar instead which does not spike bloodsugar like sugar), and is actually good for you!!!  So enjoy without guilt!”

Ingredients:

1-2 Tablespoons (T.) instant coffee (decaf or regular) - use 2 T if you like it stronger
¼ C water – warm in microwave and add coffee, stir to dissolve
1-2 Tablespoons of Nature’s Agave Premium Agave Nectar (taste and adjust for sweetness)
1-2 heaping Tablespoons of cocoa powder (depending on how much chocolate flavor you like)
1 Cup of ice (add more as needed while blending for desired thickness)
1/4 cup of skim or 1% milk
3 Tablespoons of lowfat or nonfat yogurt or greek yogurt (vanilla or plain)

Optional Additions:
1 scoop of vanilla or chocolate whey protein powder
1 frozen banana - cut into 1 inch pieces (makes thicker, creamier, and adds sweetness)
Light Whipped cream (optional)

Method:

Put first 7 ingredients into a blender and blend together till smooth, pour into glass.  Top with 1 T. of the whipped cream (not a cup like they do at coffee stores), and sprinkle cocoa powder over top if desired. Thanks, Sara!!!
