go agave: healthy recipes with agave

Luke’s Agave-Banana Sandwich

Submitted by Luke, an elementary school standout who loves to invent dishes with agave nectar. This sandwich is always a hit and provides a good dose of protein and potassium to keep the kids energized through the school day.


Ingredients:

2 slices of bread (whole wheat or find a gluten-free)
Natural peanut butter (no sugar added)
1/2 Banana - sliced
Nature’s Agave Premium Amber nectar

Method:

Start by spreading the peanut butter on one slice of bread, then place the sliced bananas next to each other (try not to stack them up because this leaves too much space for the agave to drip out of the sandwich). Drizzle a small amount of Nature’s Agave Premium Amber nectar over the banana slices. Place the other slice of bread on top. Slice in half and serve (or pack for school!).
